I have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate the Oasis' firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: Desert Lynx's Oasis.
The Register requires users to give me contact information (like their name and email address) and, optionally, demographic information (their nation of Residence). The visitor's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary and is not shared with other parties except where permission has been granted by the visitor to publish the information on the Register. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings. The Oasis provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor (the Register). The visitor, however, agrees to allow us to retain their information perpetually for internal purposes only.
The Oasis allows users to send email to Jonathan Blake
<firstname.lastname@example.org> to remove their information from our mailing list to not receive future communications. The information, however, will be retained for future use as stated above.
The Survey requires visitors to give their name and logs their IP address when it is submitted.
This site contains links to other sites. Desert Lynx's Oasis is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. We attempt to ensure that we don't link to any sites that would be inappropriate for under-age visitors but, again, we can't be held resposible for other sites' content.
This site makes a chat room available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in this area becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The web server is a professionaly maintained, secure server. All materials in the Oasis are redundantly archived. In the event of the corruption of these materials, they can be restored from the archives.
This site collects online contact information from children without prior parental consent or parental notification. Although prior parental consent is encouraged, no measures are taken to ensure that this takes place.
This site also gives children the ability to publicly post or distribute personally identifiable contact information without prior parental consent.
If you have any questions about this privacy statement, the practices of this site, or your dealings with the Oasis, you can contact Jonathan Blake
